No Tip Monday

Every Monday at 5:30pm, Taylor* comes into my place of employment, and orders a cheese pizza to-go.
Total with tax is always $13.09.
Taylor never leaves a tip. When you sit down in a restaurant it is customary to tip 15% or more. When you order to go, you're suppose to tip 10% which in my state is the sales tax. It's not like she has to extra math, she's just rude. Yes I understand these are troubling times, however the hostess, that is giving you the pizza has to:
  • Answer the phone
  • Take your order
  • Put the order in
  • Make sure the order is correct
  • Greet you at the door
  • Get your bill
  • Double check with you that the order is correct
  • Get you anything extra
  • Then say good bye.
All of this to make sure you're happy, and will come back.

A server has to:
  • Greet your tables
  • Get your drinks
  • Take your order
  • Put the order in
  • make your salads
  • Clear your plates
  • Make sure your order is correct
  • Bring you your food
  • Clear your plates again
  • Bring you your bill
  • Then Say goodbye
All of this while making sure you're happy, and your drinks are full.

The server does more, and gets a bigger tips but the hostess does a lot as well, and Taylor just signs the credit card slip at $13.09.
With a huge zero through the tip line.

Another thing, if you're not going to tip at all just leave the line alone so need to slash it out, or write a huge zero on the line.

These are just somethings to remember, because when you're a regular and you continuously don't tip, the hostess starts to care less about you, because it's a waste of her time to make you happy, if she's not getting anything out of that sale.
